Eric “Vern” Strader

Owner/Fishing Guide License #38898

I have been guiding since 2008. My passion is teaching people how to fly fish and watch them catch their first fish on a fly! I landed here on the intent to come to fly fishing guide school and head back to Missouri to guide but ended up staying in Montana.

Over the years in southwestern Montana I have grown as a fly fisherman and have realized that you can never stop learning and growing. My goal everyday is to teach someone something new and pass on my passion and love for the outdoors.

Montana has become my fulltime home and look forward to spending everyday outside in this beautiful state, whether it be fishing, hiking, or skiing, your more than likely going to find me somewhere in the outdoors.

Scott Weisbeck

Fishing Guide License #37666

Scott Weisbeck was originally born in Plains, MT in he early 70's. Scott’s father worked for the Federal Highway administration building roads and infrastructure in our National Parks in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado  This gave Scott the opportunity to explore small streams and large rivers throughout the Rocky Mountain States.  This is one reason Scott is not only a passionate outdoorsman/ fisherman but also a registered Professional Civil Engineer.

Scott and his wife Nicole moved back to Montana in early 2018 from the western Denver foothills area to enjoy the simpler things in life. It wasn’t a hard choice to trade in the hourly commutes of Colorado traffic & the even longer commutes to chase fish to less than a ten minute drive to the nearest boat ramp to float and explore.

Scott will provide you an exceptional experience on the Yellowstone and surrounding watersheds such as the Madison or Stillwater Rivers. His experience and calm nature will ensure that his guests are learning about fishing and enjoying the Livingston Area and most of all having fun!  Scott enjoys sharing his knowledge and regularly volunteers for Project Healing Waters taking veterans on floats & attending fly tying webinars.

Many clients inquire as to how did he ended up in Livingston - the windiest town in Montana/America?

The short answer: Scott’s  best friend, Brian Menges, whom he has known since 1979, owns a few establishments in town (aka the Murray Bar, Gill's Goods, and the Second Street Bistro) and that's probably where you will find him when he's not chasing trout in Paradise Valley.
